This year’s Vacation Bible School Created in Christ, Designed for God’s Purpose, for kids age Kindergarten thru 5^thGrade runs from June 20 to June 24. Save the date and if you would like to help, you can email Pastor Michael.

Plans are now developing to start a new Classical Christian School at Immanuel Leidy’s Church. Please pray for this exciting new vision. If you would like to hear more or know others who would be interested in this for their children, please contact the church office.

Easter Lily forms are included in the bulletin to sponsor a plant on Easter Sunday. These plants may be placed in memoryor in honor of someone. The cost of each plant is $8. Someone will be at the Welcome Desk to take your slip and payment.

Chris & Heather Christensen are with us today. The Christensens are serving in Bangladesh for over a decade. We are part of their support team. You’re welcome to take time to talk with them today during the coffee and danish time following the service of worship.

Young Adult Sunday School

Starting in April, the Young Adult Sunday School Class (single 18-25 year olds, including Juniors and Seniors in High School at this time) will begin an eight week study on Spiritual Gifts.  Also, we do plan to continue meeting throughout the summer months with Biblical studies that will be fresh and fun, including Justin's famous and exciting ice breaker activities! Please join us! Friends are always welcome! We will continue to meet in room 111, directly under Pastor Steve's Sunday School room, from 8:45-9:45am. Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate are served each week.

Blood Drive at Leidy’s Church

On Tuesday, April 5^th we will be having a blood drive. You may register before or after church, or you can go to www.redcrossblood.org and in the “Find a Blood Drive” box type in leidyschurch. Click on the link and you’ll be able to see what times are available. Choose the time that best fits your schedule.

GOSPEL GLEANING PRAYER POINTERS

• We must never forget and never cease giving thanks for the tender mercies of God. In the April Newsletter there is a testimony from an Erukulan woman who recently experienced the tender mercies of God in a vital and transforming way. You should read it. That reminds us that Psalm 119:156 is always a good primer for the pump of our prayers! It’s a simple declaration, followed by a simple request: Great are Your mercies, O Lord; Revive me according to Your ordinances. As we pray for God’s work among the Erukula people (and among us here in southeastern PA), let our prayers begin with thanksgiving for the wonderful mercies of the Lord. Then, let us ask Him to make alive (revive) folk from among the Erukula (and from among southeastern PA residents) so that folk begin to have lives shaped by the teachings found in God’s Word.

• Pray for the Senoufo people in the Cascades Region of southwest Burkina Faso. Disciples from the Disciples School for Transforma-tion of the Nations are reaching out to them following their Global Disciples Training in Niger sponsored by Leidy’s Church. The Senoufo population is estimated to be 2,500,000. For the Senoufo, the concept of the individual is known only in limited circumstances. Instead, each person is thought of as part of an extended family, a member of the village, the elder or younger brother, etc. Everyone eats as a group and dips into a common dish. The fields are worked collectively, food is stored collectively, and each family contributes to the village. The good of the community always comes before the good of the individual. Unless the entire tribe makes a change, such as converting to a different religion, no one does. Although most follow ethnic religions, about 25% of the population is Muslim but it is increasing. Pray that the Christians among the Senoufo will freely share the joy they know in  Jesus and that the Lord will open doors for the disciples from the GDT to preach the gospel in unreached villages among the Senoufo.
