ANNOUNCEMENTS

3. A warm welcome to Betsy Stoltzfus this morning. Betsy is a native Soudertonian, but has become a real Spaniard over the past few decades. She is a missionary with World Team and is in the midst of a transition in ministry focus. Read more about Betsy in this week’s Prayer Pointer.
4. 36 Hours of Prayer: April 18 - 20. Beginning at 7pm immediately following the Good Friday Service to 7am Easter Sunday morning in the sanctuary. Join us as we pray from the cross to the empty tomb. A sacred time set apart to seek the Lord. Follow the link in the on-line newsletter or call the church office to sign up and learn more.
5. Leidy’s Church Auction will be held on Saturday, April 26th. Please consider donating an auction item - all donations are greatly appreciated! You can pick up a donation slip at the Welcome Desk. Childcare is provided at 6:30 for the Live Auction.
6. There will be an Introductory Meeting for the Missions Trip to the Dominican Republic immediately following the service of worship this morning. Dates for the trip are August 6-13.
7. Take time to view the auction preview table in the narthex. It has a variety of items that have been donated and that will be up for bidding on April 26th. You can be the owner of them if you are the highest bidder! Next week there will be a new set of items – don’t miss them!
8. Folks at Leidy’s are preparing to make our sanctuary look festive and welcoming for our Easter Service. Please consider donating $10 towards a variety of flowers to bring our sanctuary to life. If you donated a flower, they will be available the week after Easter, first come, first served. Place your slip and donation in a 2nd Mile Envelope and put in one of the collection pillars. Slips are included in today’s the bulletin.
9. This Friday beginning at 6pm there will be a worship service outside with a bonfire, followed by BBQ dinner and an egg hunt. Come on out for some good ole fashion fellowship.
10. O.A.S.I.S. is headed out to Lancaster for an Amish lunch on Thursday, April 24. Lunch is at 12 noon sharp. The cost is $18 per person, payable in cash or check made out to By or Dottie Rimmer. A final head count is needed before April 14th, so please sign up by next Sunday. There is a sign-up in the narthex.
11. Coffee & Munchies are going on Hiatus beginning today through at least the summer. Thank you to everyone who has helped make the coffee hour so enjoyable!
12. The Mission Committee meets this Thursday evening at 7 in the Conference Room. This is a week earlier than normal, so pay attention to this announcement!
13. The Spring Blood Drive happens on Thursday, April 17th from 2-7. Someone will be the narthex to get you signed up for a time slot. Or you can go online to www.redcrossblood.org and click on “Find a Blood Drive” and then go to the box type listed as leidyschurch.
14. Thank you from Dale and Karen Alderfer for all the visits, food, and the prayers since Karen’s fall and recuperation. They were much appreciated.
15. The flowers are placed by Elaine Frank in loving memory of her brother Freddie Giarrocco who died at a young age on April 8th.
