ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. If you are new here and would like to know more about Jesus, Leidy’s Church, and how to get connected. Please fill out the Get Connected Card and put it in the Get Connected box on the left-hand side of the doors when you leave.
  2. There will be a short congregational meeting immediately following the service of worship today. The purpose of the meeting is to nominate two men to serve as deacons on Consistory.
  3. We welcome the Tysons to Leidy’s Church this morning. They serve the Lord Jesus working with women and girls who have been trafficked or otherwise abused. To help those women get started in life, they also work with a ministry that provides jobs making jewelry and other items. Be sure to greet them at their table in the narthex after the service.
  4. As you partner with us in the work of the Kingdom, please place your gifts and offerings in the Get Connected pillars.
  5. If you or someone you know is interested in being the Office Manager of Leidy’s Church, please contact office@leidyschurch.org.
  6. The BMCE Professional Breakfast takes place this Thursday. It begins at 6:30 at the Franconia Heritage Banquet facility. Julie Henning is the speaker. Tickets are $17 and are available from the church office, Jack Parry, or John Niederhaus.
  7. Men’s Breakfast Next Saturday begins at 8. Pastor Armand Weller is the special speaker. It was through Pastor Weller that God brought revival to Leidy’s Church in the 1970s. He’ll be addressing the events of that time, but also giving some advice on how the Holy Spirit works at this time to bring times of refreshing. More details are in the May Newsletter.
  8. On Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon, all willing helpers are invited to come and enjoy the outdoors while helping the Property Committee spruce up our church property. Bring along your gardening tools for weeding purposes. Please see Kendall Musselman if you have questions.
  9. Barbara Weller speaks in Issues & Answers next Sunday. Barbara was the sparkplug that ignited the fires of renewal in the UCC. Now a working attorney who specializes in helping churches, she will have much to tell us to encourage and help us in our current circumstances. We are asking all adult classes to meet together in the Fellowship Hall to interact with her next Sunday.
  10. The Rummage Sale is this week! Help is needed during the set-up on Monday and Tuesday or during the actual sale, Wednesday 9-8 and Thursday 9-6. We especially need men, women, and youth to help Thursday evening starting at 6:00 for pack-up.
  11. Calling all Graduates: We want to recognize and honor those graduating from high school, college, business school, or graduate school during the month of June. Please contact the church office with the name of your graduate(s) and what their plans may be for the future.
  12. If you are interested in learning more about Leidy’s Church please contact the church office. We are looking to begin an Inquirer’s Class sometime in the future.
  13. Lost & Found Table: Please look through what is there and take what belongs to you. The table is at the back steps. Or, you can buy it back at the Rummage Sale. Thank you.
