ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. If you are new here and would like to know more about Jesus, Leidy’s Church, and how to get connected. Please fill out the Get Connected Card and put it in the Get Connected box on the left-hand side of the doors when you leave.
  2. Our sincere Christian sympathy to family and friends of Esther Davis and to Fern Vasey and Pearl Walter at the death of their sister. May God be with them at this time.
  3. A warm welcome is extended to Rev. Armand Weller who is our Preacher today. This is not something new for Pastor Weller as he was the Pastor of Leidy’s Church from 1970 to 1984. His wife Barbara is here as well and spoke during the Sunday School Hour of how God used her in helping bring spiritual renewal to congregations throughout the UCC denomination.
  4. A Congregational Meeting takes place on June 2nd immediately following the service of worship. The only item on the agenda is the election of two Elders and two Deacons. Nominated for Elder are: Shaun Permar and Tim Leidy. Nominated for Deacon are: Josh Heebner and Tony Kapusta.
  5. As you partner with us in the work of the Kingdom, please place your gifts and offerings in the Get Connected pillars.

  7. Calling all Graduates: We want to recognize and honor those graduating from high school, college, business school, or graduate school during the month of June. Please contact the church office with the name of your graduate(s) and what their plans may be for the future.
  8. Men’s Bible Study meets this Friday morning at 5:30 in the Youth Room.
  9. A great big “Thank You” to all who helped make this week’s Rummage Sale a success. We made $8,600 and more is coming in.
  10. Primary Election is this Tuesday. Don’t forget to make your voice heard. Also, since Leidy’s Church is a polling place, this means that from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening the Fellowship Hall will be reserved for voting and the preparations.
  11. If you are interested in learning more about Leidy’s Church please contact the church office. We are looking to begin an Inquirer’s Class sometime in the future.
  12. The Mission Committee meeting, which was scheduled for this Thursday, has been moved to May 25th.
  13. FCA is hosting its 13th annual Night of Honor at Finland Mennonite on Tuesday, May 16th at 6:45 pm.  We will praise the Lord and thank Him for the good work He is doing through  huddle/campus ministries led by students. We will recognize graduating senior leaders who have played critical roles in guiding and leading the huddle ministry at their schools. The evening is filled with fellowship, testimony and wonderful desserts/snacks!  The event is free but please RSVP and register online at www.wearefca.org.
