GOSPEL GLEANING PRAYER POINTERS

  • God is doing a wonderful work among the Erukula people group in India. Three years ago they were an Unreached People Group. Now there are thousands of folk who have been born again through the work of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. This week as we pray for the Erukula people, let’s use Psalm 119:2 as a primer for our prayers. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart. As we’re learning from J.C. Ryle’s book Holiness, sanctification involves work on the part of God’s people. His people are called to seek Him with all their heart and then put into action, i.e. observe, what they learn from the Word. May we and the Erukula believers know the joy of the blessedness that come from observing His testimonies.
  • This week, let’s give thanks for God’s work among the many tribes of Chad and Niger. Though only a miniscule fraction of the population, there are vibrant congregations of believers in the Lord Jesus in those lands. Global Disciples works with them by providing training for reaching Unreached People Groups in those countries. Praise be to God for His wondrous work! Christians are subject to passive persecution as well as violent persecution in both countries. Pray for God to protect and bless the witness of those who go out to share the good news among those who never have heard the name of Jesus. May their witness be fruitful.
