The current bulletin for Leidy's Church
1. If you are a guest, please visit the Welcome Desk outside of the Sanctuary and fill out a Connect with Leidy’s Card.
2. As you partner with us in the work of the Kingdom, please place your gifts and offerings in the offering pillars at the back of the Sanctuary.
3. Congregational Meeting Update - The congregational meeting has been moved to June 7. We encourage everyone to continue engaging, asking questions, and praying for clarity in the weeks ahead.
4. The Rummage Sale is this week! Help is needed during the set-up on Monday and Tuesday or during the actual sale, Wednesday 9-8 and Thursday 9-6. We especially need men, women, and youth to help Thursday evening starting at 6:00 for pack-up. See Mary Beth Musselman and she will get you signed up to help.
5. Membership Class: Ready for your next step? This is the class for you! Join us on May 17, 31 and June 7, from 8:45-9:45am in the Conference Room to learn more about Leidy’s Church. Scan the QR code on the service screens, follow the link in the weekly newsletter, or contact the office to sign up!
6. Want to help with Upwards but don’t play soccer or have extra time to commit? One way would be to sponsor a night of soccer practice with a pre-packaged snack and a small juice or sports drink. Drop 75 off of each at the church office by noon on Monday. Feel free to do it on your own or team up with a friend. Check your weekly newsletter for a link to sign up or contact Hannah Niederhaus at 215-896-0140.
7. The first week of In Their Shoes collectively got us 598 miles, almost all the way to Chicago! Keep praying for our highlighted missionaries, and don’t forget to turn in your paper logs and pick up your new ones (either at the Missions table on Sundays or in the office during the week). We ask that you turn in your paper logs by Friday, May 29th, so that our final tallies (and awards) at the Missions Brunch on May 30th include your efforts. And thank you!
8. The BMCE Spring B&P Breakfast takes place on Thursday, May 21st at 6:30. Kathy Piepmeyer, the afternoon voice on radio station WBYN 107.5 Alive is the special speaker. Kathy will share stories from her journey of following God’s call and overcoming personal challenges to arrive as the afternoon host at WBYN 107.5 Alive. Tickets are $25 p/person and may be obtained from the church office or from Jack Parry or John Niederhaus.
9. Don’t forget to sign up for the In Their Shoes with Michael Sander Missions Brunch on Saturday, May 30th. Not only will there be a great spread of food and activities for kids, we’ll get to hear from Michael Sander about his work in Eswatini and with Perspectives. AND we’ll get to celebrate and award the people who logged the most miles during the In Their Shoes challenge. Don’t miss it!
10. Third Weekends for Young Adults: Join us at Souderton Park immediately following the service next Sunday, to hang out and enjoy the outdoors together! Plan for pizza and snacks, feel free to bring some cards or outdoor games. We hope to see you there!
11. A Special Mother's Day Offering will be collected today for Life Turning Point, specifically the Carriage House project. If you would like to honor the future of these mothers graduating from LTP, please consider a gift to turn in on Mother's Day. Please use the specially marked envelopes available at the Missions Month table and from the office to share your gift. And thank you for your consideration.
12. Fill the Truck - Help us support the Keystone Opportunity Center’s Neighbors! Make a difference for local families. Through the month of May we will be collecting items to be distributed. On the table in the narthex you will find a list of items that are being collected. Items will be collected until May 29th. Please make sure to check expiration dates.
13. There will be a rededication of America to God event in Washington DC on May 17th. Someone is looking into chartering a bus but needs 42 people with a firm commitment to go before they can secure the charter. The cost would be $45 per person. Contact Lani Kimenhour at lkimenhour@yahoo.com if interested.
14. The flowers are placed by Ken and Connie Merritt in honor of granddaughter Ashley’s birthday and “thank you” to all our Godly moms. God is good!
